Give Us Back Our GameIt’s My Game supports and showcases the philosophy and programmes of organisations such as Give Us Back Our Game, Football Football, The FA, The Children’s Football Alliance and others who seek to increase participation in and reverse the growing ‘adultification’ of children’s football (soccer).

We will also publicise alternatives to league football (soccer) for children and young adults in the UK and elsewhere, provide resources for youth football coaches and publish articles relating to children’s play and the ‘beautiful game’.

Children's Football AllianceWith your help, It’s My Game will:

  • Promote opportunities to play football ‘informally’;
  • Boost participation levels;
  • Improve the quality of youth football coaching;
  • Promote a more child/play centred approach to the beautiful game;
  • Help put children, fun and the game itself back where they should be – at the heart of youth football;
  • Give children a voice in how the game should be run.

Football Football

Together we’ll put the fun back into kids football!

“I know a lot of younger players don’t love the game now, but it is not a game you love anymore. When I was young we played in the street, had fun, identified with great players, thought & talked nothing but football, lived for a Saturday game on telly. Now there’s too many games on TV & you see the kids now in their teams at 9 years old, & its do this, do that with their parents on the touchlines screaming at them…” Gordon Strachen
